Applying to New Records is easy - all you need to do is fill in your details and attach a link to your work and then we'll be in touch with you following days. The interim process between your application process and our reply is expected at maximum 7 days, but we always try and get back to you within that time limit.

WHAT ABOUT INVITED ARTISTS?
Some artists around the community have a particular talent that we wish to add to the variety that every record label wants. We look out for bands that have developed, or are developing into, the next big thing in the industry. If we find you, you'll be invited to join the label with all its benefits, including advertisement and album hosting.

HOW DO YOU SUBMIT?
Sending in your content to be released on this site is simple, but requires an amount of effort to make the ideal experience for your fans in the community. That's why we've organised some guidelines for submitting an album on this label, but we've also supplied other guidelines that you may wish to choose from.
Step 1 |
So, you've got your tracks that you want on your album; the next step is to think about an album cover for your release. Your album cover should represent the songs in it, for example if the songs had a theme of destruction, then maybe an image of rubble should be the main image. You may even want to incorporate your own style into your album covers, for example a funky, cartoon-style of artwork. IF YOU HAVE NOT GOT YOUR OWN ALBUM COVER, YOU CAN ASK THE NEW RECORDS STAFF TO MAKE ONE FOR YOU
|
Step 2 |
Now it's time to think about how your fans are going to be downloading your work. There are many online sites that you can use to store all your songs on, after converting them to MP3 files. Here are some sites to think about using: mega.co.nz, mediafire.com and justcloud.com. Remember, once you've uploaded the files to these cloud storage websites, copy the link that shares the files chosen and attach it in the form specified below. MAKE SURE YOU NUMBER THE SONGS IN THE FILE SO YOUR FANS KNOW THE TRACK ORDER
|
STEP 3 |
When you've completed the previous steps, it'll be time to send your album in either your application or your release form. The two forms are stated below. Fill them out and copy and paste the entire form and PM it to Hazaman on the punk-o-matic.net forums.
